This was a last-minute birthday flower for one of Smarty Pant's teachers. I literally put it together in 15 minutes, so it's a winner in my book!
To create the felt flower, I used this tutorial that I found on skip to my lou by guest poster blue robin cottage. All you need is wool felt, a glue gun and scissors.
Now here's what you'll need to do to add a fun washi tape stem--
Use a leftover faux stem (or stick or thick wire) and wrap it in washi tape.
I wanted Mrs. B to be able to wear the flower as a pin, so I bent the wired stem and taped it into a loop. Now the pin can easily be removed.
To create the leaf, I put some washi tape on wax paper and cut out the leaf shape.
I attached the leaf to the stem with a little piece of washi tape.

Wouldn't this make a cute giveaway for a bridal shower? Or, if you back it with a clip, barrettes for a girl's birthday party? The possibilities are endless.
Happy Creating!
