Since Easter will be here in less than two weeks, I thought it was probably a good time to decorate some eggs. I've had this idea in mind for a couple of years and I'm so glad that I finally got around to doing it!

How to Make Translucent Epson Salt Glitter Eggs
Materials Needed:
clear plastic eggs (I used these clear ones from Oriental Trading)
colored epson salt "glitter" - tutorial here
small cups
small foam or paint brush
tray or shirt box to capture the mess
Instructions:
Using a small brush, coat your egg with mod podge.
Place glue-coated egg in one cup and pour the contents of the other cup on top.
Then slowly transfer the egg and glitter from one cup to the other until the egg is sufficiently covered in glitter.
Remove the egg and set it aside. Let it dry completely. To minimize the mess, I used a shirt box to hold my eggs.
When the glue is completely dry, gently tap to remove the excess glitter.

Head outside and spray the eggs with clear acrylic sealer. You may want to do this a couple of times, letting the sealer dry between each coat. This will help keep the glitter in place and ensure less mess in the future.
